Legacy of Mass Destruction confronts the historical American portrayal of the idealized and so-called empowered woman. The drawing plays upon the classic Vargas pinup illustration, as well as images of the armed Bond Girl. The elements within the drawing (such as the wedding veil, gun, and bathing suit) represent the conflicting ideals and double standards that women continually strive to attain.

To create this drawing, I abstracted my handwriting using an ink pen on paper. All ink strokes are a result of abstracted handwriting. Over and over again I wrote the phrase "The Body is a Temple," until the drawing was finished.

Nude II depicts a relatively famous magazine ad that features the supermodel Kate Moss. Nude II is part two of a two piece series that documents the portrayal of nude women throughout the history of fine art and commercial art. This piece illustrates the classic "modern" ideal woman, in stark contrast to the plump Venus featured above in Nude I.

Arms Warping was created for a figure drawing class in college. While observing a male model, I drew an abstracted version of his arms and hands (and the walking stick he was holding).
