Our 10 Most Popular Tips for Weight Loss
Exercise
Find an exercise buddy and get to it! Laziness is craziness, especially
when it comes to facing the scale. Run in the mornings before work or
school, or after work before you eat dinner. Work out before meals to
get that metabolism going! It's the best way to start. You can even invest
in an exercise machine if you don't or can't leave home.
Eat Salad and other Light Foods
Forget the fast food, go with smart food! Your body can barely digest
lettuce, so take advantage of it! It's low-carb, cheap, and effective.
Other light foods include yogurt (only one cup at a time), fruit, rice
cakes, and tofu. It may be bland, but it's effective. Also, light cereals
such as Special K are highly recommended. After a while, all this stuff
might get boring and redundant, but don't give up-- There are always tons
of low cal, low fat, and low carb products in every grocery store.
Take the stairs
Again, exercise is your friend, and laziness is craziness. Work exercise
in wherever you can. The elevator may look tempting, but taking the stairs
instead can really add up. Also, try leaving early for work/school and
parking 1/2 mile away once you arrive. This way you'll force yourself
to exercise. Or, exercise on your lunch break. Go for a walk around the
block. Getting active is the bottom line! We understand this is hard to
work into your schedule. So again, you may want to consider purchasing
some exercise equipment to keep right at home.
Skip One Meal Every Now and Again
You can survive without it. Just make sure you're active during the day
so that your metablolism doesn't slow down too much and negate your lack
of intake. And once you're used to skipping that meal, such as lunch,
for example, try skipping it more frequently. Building yourself gradually
to a lighter diet is more effective than trying to jump in at once. If
you're forced to take a lunch at work, go jogging or walking... anything
to distract yourself from the food you are so desperately craving. If
you're a student in high school or middle school, try taking long trips
to the bathroom to fix your make-up. Don't wear make-up? Check out the
products at our sponsor's website www.maybelline.com.
Buty a Diet Book
Go to the bookstore and find a diet that suits your needs. There are tons
of them!
Pills and Supplements
Tons of over the counter diet
aids are now available. Read safety labels and decide which ones are
right for you. None of the drugs on the shelves are proven to be harmful
to you.
Don't Binge
Simply put, it's a bad idea. Unless you force yourself to vomit, a sudden
intake of food can knock your diet completely down. Be strong!
Where There's a Will, There's a Waist
A small one, that is. Control yourself! It doesn't matter how slow your
metablolism is, or if you're confined to a desk all day. There is no excuse
for being fat!
Act Like You've Already Eaten
Tell yourself repeatedly that you've already eaten and that you don't
really need this meal. Remember, your mind controls your body. We are
all innately food addicts; each and every one of us was born hungry. FIGHT
IT! You need to work hard to overcome the desire. Remember your priorities.
And don't forget that this isn't always enough. You'll need to buy products
such as magazines, pills, supplements, books, exercise machines, plastic
surgery, etc. to help you succeed.
Stand Up to Those Around You
Friends, family, and even lovers may try to convince you that looking
good is not a priority. But deep down inside, you know what is right,
and in all likelyhood, they're telling you this because they're jealous
of your looks, or they don't want to see you succeed. Don't let anyone
convince you otherwise: a beautiful body is the key to happiness, success,
and wealth. If you're ever in doubt, just look at the celebs, the stars,
the cover girls, and the prom queen in your dusty yearbook. Point proven.
