The
Perfect Metaphor Thank you for participating in our game "See Jane. Where's Dick?" As you saw throughout the game, the nude female body appears much more frequently than the nude male body. This abundance is evident not only in the media (movies, pornography, advertisements, etc.) but throughout the history of art as well. Nude women are more often the subject of painting, drawing, photography, and other art forms than nude men. The internet, universally known as the notorious forum for uncensored expression, served as our resource for this game. The images you saw in this game were randomly generated by the web in a non gender-specific search for "nude" and "naked" bodies. How many visible penises did you find within these seven pages? Remember, only clearly visible penises count! The answer is 2. There is one visible penis on page 1, and another on page 6. There are a total of 18 bodies in these images that have one or both breasts uncovered. There are a total of 8 bodies that depict the male genital region, but 6 of these are either blurred or covered by the hand. Why is it so acceptable to depict bare breasts and yet hide the male body parts associated with sexuality? |
